Subscription, Renewal, and Cancellation Policy

This Subscription, Renewal, and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") explains the terms governing paid subscriptions ("Subscription(s)") for Aira (the "App") and is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Use. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to this Policy.

1. Subscription Overview

1.1 Freemium Model

  • Users may create a free profile, view general match compatibility, and receive messages from paid subscribers.
  • Free users may reply to messages from paid subscribers but cannot initiate conversations or access premium functionality.

1.2 Paid Subscription

Paid subscriptions unlock premium features, including:

  • the ability to initiate messages
  • enhanced visibility and match recommendations
  • additional app features as described in the App

Subscription features are recurring and billed in advance according to the plan selected.

2. Subscription Plans and Pricing

2.1 Subscription plans, pricing, and durations are displayed in the App at the time of purchase.

2.2 Prices are stated in your local currency and include applicable taxes, unless otherwise specified.

2.3 All subscriptions are automatically renewed unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 All payments are processed by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processors.

3.2 You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for subscription fees, taxes, and any other applicable charges.

3.3 Users must provide accurate billing information. Payment may be declined if information is incorrect or invalid.

3.4 Subscriptions are non-transferable and may only be used by the account holder.

4. Automatic Renewal

4.1 Paid subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of each subscription period, unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.

4.2 Renewal fees are charged to the payment method on file.

4.3 We may notify you of upcoming renewals, but it is your responsibility to manage your subscription and payment method.

5. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • the App subscription management interface, or
  • your Apple App Store or Google Play account subscription settings.

5.2 Cancelling your subscription will prevent automatic renewal, but you will retain access to premium features until the end of the current paid period.

5.3 No partial refunds will be issued for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law or at our discretion.

6. Refunds and Chargebacks

6.1 All subscription payments are non-refundable, except as required by law or at our discretion.

6.2 Users must not attempt to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes in bad faith. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in:

  • immediate termination of the account
  • loss of access to all Services
  • potential legal action to recover fees and damages

6.3 We retain records of all transactions, communications, and usage history to defend against disputes and chargebacks, and to comply with regulatory obligations.

6.4 Any refunds issued at our discretion will be limited to the amount actually paid by the user.

7. Failed or Declined Payments

7.1 If a payment fails or is declined, your subscription may be suspended or terminated until payment is successfully processed.

7.2 We may attempt to retry failed payments according to the policies of our payment processor.

7.3 Access to premium features will be restricted during any lapse in payment.

8. Modifications to Subscription Plans or Pricing

8.1 We reserve the right to change subscription plans, features, or pricing at any time.

8.2 Any changes will not affect current active subscriptions until the next renewal period, unless otherwise communicated.

8.3 Users will be notified of any material changes to pricing or subscription terms via the App or email.

9. Fraud, Abuse, and High-Risk Payment Measures

Subscriptions are monitored for fraudulent or abusive activity, including:

  • multiple accounts using the same payment method to circumvent free/paid limits;
  • unauthorized use of free messaging privileges;
  • attempts to manipulate subscription billing or chargebacks.

9.2 Accounts involved in suspicious activity may be suspended, terminated, or restricted without refund.

9.3 Personal and transaction data may be shared with payment processors, banks, card networks, and fraud-prevention partners to mitigate risks.

10. Termination by the Company

We may terminate or suspend your subscription for:

  • violation of these Terms or this Policy;
  • fraudulent or abusive behavior;
  • legal or regulatory reasons;
  • safety or security concerns.

Termination does not relieve you of any unpaid fees or liabilities accrued prior to termination.

11. Third-Party Platforms and Payment Processing

11.1 All subscription purchases are subject to the terms and policies of Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where the purchase is made.

11.2 You may manage or cancel subscriptions through the relevant app store.

11.3 We are not responsible for refunds or disputes initiated directly through third-party platforms, except as required by law.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 This Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12.2 Disputes relating to subscriptions will be submitted to the courts of England and Wales, unless an alternative method (e.g., arbitration) is mutually agreed.
